We got home yesterday, after a fairly easy 14 hour trip from Auckland. It’s hard to believe that it’s over. 2-1/2 months of travelling, meeting so many great people, and having such adventures. We loved every minute of it. Thanks to everyone who made the trip such a success. Now, it’s back to less picturesque work for a while.
We know we’re back in Canada by looking out the window. Yesterday we were in shorts and t-shirts in summer, and now: SNOW!!! For the first time, all of Canada has snow in the forecast. There’s a cold front staying here in Victoria, and there’s already snow here – more on its way. I guess we’ll have a white Christmas, at this rate.
Brrrrr! Where are my quilts?
I see all the Christmas lights around town (which look beautiful in the snow), and I’m reminded that everyone else has been preparing for Christmas, while we’ve been having fun. We’ll have a quiet holiday this year. I hope you enjoy the season, keep warm (or cool, depending on where you are), and get a chance to hug the ones you love, eat the things you wish, and appreciate all that you have. Life is good.
